Part of our Thursday weeknight mountain bike ride series, the fourth Thursday we will be riding at Steven’s Creek. This is an INTERMEDIATE level ride. Check your level here.
Plan for around a 12 mile loop with about 2,000 feet of climbing. We will start on the road, then continue along the Canyon trail to Grizzly Flat Trail. This climbs up to Skyline (35), then loops back down to the Canyon trail and back out to the cars. This ride has plenty of climbing with a few areas of technical skills (rocky creek crossing, roots, and sharp turns) making it a great after work fitness training route.
Women of all ages are welcome to join – you must have a MOUNTAIN BIKE in good working condition, helmet, and water. Items like knee/elbow pads, full suspension, dropper post, and snacks might make the ride more fun. Also pack a light jacket or arm warmers as the canyon trail can be quite cool.
Rain will cancel the ride. Please check back here for weather updates prior to the ride.
Want to carpool? Post below.
There are NO bathrooms or water at the parking area, but there is a bathroom located at the corner of Steven’s Canyon Rd and Mt. Eden Rd (1.5 miles east of the meeting location).
PARKING: There are several street parking spots along Redwood Gulch Road near Steven’s Creek Canyon Road intersection. There is NO parking along Steven’s Creek Rd. after this intersection.
