Mountain Bike Intermediate Ride – Fort Ord

Come join us for a mountain bike ride on some sweet and sandy single track!  Fort Ord National Monument just east of Monterey is well worth the drive from the Bay Area at about 1.5 hours.

This is an intermediate level mountain bike ride both technically and aerobically.  Plan on about 15+ miles and about 2.5 hours of riding.  Trails are mostly single track, some fire road.  Technical features include sand, narrow trails, ruts, and steep ups/downs.

These trails are nationally famous due to this area of BLM land being the home to the Sea Otter Classic.  On nearby trails, the area also hosts the CCCX race series.

We will cruise around some of our favorite trails heading up towards Little Moab and playing in sand (if folks are interested!).

Women of all ages are welcome to join us!  You will need a mountain bike in good working condition, helmet, water, and snacks.

There are no bathrooms or water available at the park.

Rain cancels the ride, however, the trails at Ft. Ord remain very rideable after recent rain, making this an excellent place for winter and early spring rides.

Interested in carpooling?  Post in the messages section.

Come join the fun!
