Join us on this Early-Intermediate mountain bike ride at Fremont Older! Not sure of your level? Check here.
We’ll be riding about 8 miles and climbing around 1400′. The trails here are swoopy and fun with some decent climbs – great for post-work exercise. Little to no technical features on these trails, except a few switch backs or hairpin turns and a couple of short steep ups and downs.
We will climb from the parking lot to do the Seven Springs loop counter-clockwise, go up to the top of the park, make an additional loop to hit swoopy Toyon trail and end with a clockwise loop of Seven Springs before heading back to the parking lot.
There is limited parking in the parking lot at the end of Prospect Rd. Allow yourself a little extra time in case the parking lot is full and you have to park at the intersection of Prospect Rd and Rolling Hills Rd (an extra .25 miles each way) or even further down at Prospect Rd and Parker Ranch Rd (an extra mile on the road each way). The ride can be done at a fairly quick pace in an hour, let’s plan to be out for 90 minutes to account for re-grouping at intersections.
Women of all ages are invited to join us! You’ll want to bring a mountain bike in good working condition, helmet, water, and possibly some snacks for this ride.
Rain cancels the ride – check back here if that appears to be the case.
