Join us on our 11-week progressive training ride series, developed to prepare you to ride in the Cinderella Classic on April 9th. We’ll take you from our 15-mile Melo Velo to 60-miles in preparation for this super-fun all-women’s ride.
This week, join us for a 60-mile ride.
Please note: the Cinderella Classic is an organized, supported ride put on by the Valley Spokesmen cycling club. Online registration his now open. We encourage you to register soon as this event typically sells out.
Reminders and Notes for Saturday’s Ride:
It looks like it will be a nice day on Saturday. Latest check of the weather indicates it will be cool in morning (low 50s) and rising to upper 60s and low 70s. I rode the bulk of the route last week and it was gorgeous with all the wildflowers in bloom and water in the Nicasio Reservoir.
The ride meets at 8:00 and leaves promptly at 8:15. You should be signed in and ready to go by 8:00 am. We should return to the cars between 1:30-2:30 if riding at a pace average of 12-14 mph.
Please make sure you have eaten breakfast, bring plenty of on-bike nutrition, at least 2 full water bottles, money for the planned stops in Nicasio, Marin Cheese Factory, and Fairfax, tires inflated to the proper psi, and easy to manage and carry layers.
If you have not participated in ride out Sausalito here are the few things you need to know: parking is available behind Mikes Bikes on the dirt. Please make sure you park completely off the pavement. There is also parking in the immediate vicinity of the meetup location. Bathrooms are not really available at in the shopping center. We can make a quick stop at the water treatment plant just off the bike path.
